Can I start an IV on my ACP partner who becomes my patient (I'm a PCP)?

Question:

When the patient is with my ACP partner and I’m a PCP, if my patient needs IV access because she never took nitroglycerin before, can I do the IV under my partner/patient’s supervision while waiting for a transport vehicle to be able to administer nitroglycerin?

Answer:

Only a trained and certified PCP IV autonomous paramedic can.
