ASA at a higher dose, is it considered an NSAID within the context of the MD of Adult Analgesia?


Is ASA taken by a patient at a higher dose than the daily dose is it to be considered an NSAID in the contraindication within the directive of Ibruprofen or Ketorolac?


No, within the context of the Medical Directive of the Adult Analgesia in the contraindication, ASA is not considered an NSAID. However exeption would be ASA overdose ( intentionnal ingestion suicide attempt). ASA is contraindicated if their is a known allergy or sensitivity to ASA.
