If my 12-lead is not showing a STEMI but the physician's clinic copy is can I go to a PCI center?

Question:

When a crew arrives at a clinic and a physician presents them with a 12-lead that is a STEMI, but their own ECG tracing is not showing STEMI, can the crew bypass to a PCI center?

Answer:

As long as the STEMI positive 12-lead follows the patient and is handed to the cardiologists at the PCI center, the crew can use the STEMI bypass protocol for this situation. A patient transported from clinic to the PCI center is considered as “from the field” rather than “interfacility transfer”. If possible, the RPPEO would also like a copy of the STEMI positive 12-lead.
