New Opioid Toxicity Medical Directive

To all RPPEO Paramedics

Due to the recent surge in Fentanyl overdoses in Ontario, the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care’s Emergency Health Services Branch released the new Opioid Toxicity Directive today December 23rd, 2016.

The change in the directive takes effect immediately as per the attached Implementation Memo. Please see the attached directives for exact details. Until the RPPEO has a chance to print this new directive,  please print it and carry it with you for reference.
